Hi! My name is Cheryl Reynolds, I am the owner and creator of Sparky's Delights. I have always had a love for all animals. As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, but ended up in the corporate world stuck behind a desk. My love for animals never changed as I grew older. I wanted very much to train and work with rescue dogs, but once again my dreams were put on hold.

Sparky came into my life, shortly after losing my two beloved Dobermans, B.J. from cancer and Amber died shortly after from old age. I wasn't really ready for another dog, I had my 3 cats, but Sparky needed me. He was so weak from starvation & dehydration that I had to carry him down the porch steps and hold him up so he could use the bathroom. Our vet said he may have lived a couple more days if we had not found him. I nursed him back to health and gave him lots of love, he gave me lots of love back, he is my shadow. He is either behind me or beside all of the time.

Recently our Vet told us Sparky was getting too fat. We put him on a diet but he still loved his treats! One day while reading the ingredient labels I realized how fattening his dog treats were, filled with so many unnecessary additives. I found some recipes and began baking my own dog treats using organic and healthy ingredients. When I gave them to friends and family for their dogs they said their dogs just loved them too! Before long I had friends and family asking for treats for their dogs on special diets. So began Sparky's Delights Dog Treats. Sparky gives his stamp of approval on every one. I've made treats for horses and I'm working on the cat treats too. Check my site often for new products.

My animals are a part of my family, their health and well being is so important to me. I take special care finding the best ingredients, no preservatives or fillers are added to my treats. I use lean beef and chicken (no beaks, feet, guts or by-products!). They are healthy as well as low fat. I make special diet bones that are wheat free or salmon and sweet potato for dogs with allergies. The ingredients are listed on every package,and made with love and care.

A Spark For Life, Sparky's Story

Sparky, the dumpster pup. Poor little Sparky, a black cocker spaniel, was left in a crate starving & alone in the Georgia summer heat by a dumpster. My family took the starving little dog in. The vet told us he didn't have much life left in him, he was barely hanging on. We nursed him to health and he grew into a beautiful, shiney coated bundle of happiness. We hope through making healthy dog treats to share Sparky's ..... SPARK for life with you and your pets!
